On Feb 2, 2009, Anup Manandhar (988A) and his team from Vianet Communications went to BNKS and laid the optic fibers at school. With the newly built Learning Resource Center (LRC) as the hub of the network, optic fibers were drawn to the Principal's office, Gauri Shanker/Byas Rishi Houses, Teachers Quarter, Choyu House, Dhaulagiri house, Clinic, and Social Studies Department. This fiber network forms the backbone of the network within school.

The next step of the project is to connect the endpoints of the optic fiber network to all individual computers at school and complete the intranet. SEBS-NA is currently soliciting funds for completing the rest of the project.

The total cost for this phase of the project was about $2100 which is about 25% lower than the initial estimate. SEBS-NA would like to thank Anup dai and Vianet Communications for providing superb technical supervision followed by smooth and timely execution within the budget.
